College Bound Scholarships

What is the College Bound Scholarship? The College Bound Scholarship is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible students who sign up in middle school and fulfill their Pledge. The Scholarship will combine with other state financial aid to cover the average cost of tuition, some fees, and provide a small allowance for books. The goal of the College Bound Scholarship program is to improve high school graduation and college enrollment rates for low-income students.

What is the Pledge? College Bound Students promise to: Graduate from a Washington state high school or home school program with a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher. Be a good citizen and not be convicted of a felony. Apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) your senior year of high school.

What is the Deadline? Students must apply by June 30th of their 8th grade year.

Where Can You Use the Scholarship? At one of Washington’s 68 eligible institutions, including: Public Community & Technical Colleges, Public Four-Year Colleges & Universities, Independent Colleges & Universities, Private Career Colleges.
