Crescent School District conducts activities, screenings and evaluations to identify children, from birth through 21 years of age, with suspected disabilities.  The purpose of Childfind is to locate, evaluate and identify children who may be delayed in one or more of the following areas: 
  • communication
  • fine motor
  • gross motor
  • social/emotional
  • cognitive
  • adaptive skills
  • health impairments
Eligible children would include:
  1. Children residing in the school district boundaries including preschool-aged children;
  2. Highly mobile children (such as homeless, foster care, or migrant children);
  3. Children who have a disability and may need special education services even though they are advancing from grade to grade; and
  4. Children at home or home-schooled.
